Welbeck is a "very good signing" for Arsenal

Michael Owen believes Danny Welbeck will suit Arsenal after the striker moved to north London from Manchester United.

The 23-year-old England international penned a long-term deal with the Gunners after Arsenal agreed a £16m fee with the Red Devils on transfer deadline day.
Welbeck had fallen out-of-favour at Old Trafford over the past season and Radamel Falcao’s loan inevitably resulted in the forward leaving 20-time English champions.
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger had been looking to bolster his attacking line-up over the past week after Olivier Giroud was sidelined for three to four months with a broken foot.
And former United striker Owen believes Welbeck will prove to be a “very good addition” to Arsenal’s squad and is confident the England star can prove a success if played as a striker.
Arsenal have pulled off a very good signing in Welbeck. He’s young, English, fast and someone who Wenger can get more out of,” Owen posted on Twitter.
“People talk about a lack of goals but he’s hardly played as a striker at United. He will suit Arsenal.”
Welbeck scored 20 goals in 92 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.
